Table of Contents
The Sweater
This beige cashmere and silk sweater is sure to keep you warm. The oversized fit and loose hemline makes this sweater optimal for wearing with wide lower layers like a skirt or wide pants. It has a big turtleneck which provides extra coverage for your neck and is chunky enough to tuck your hijab in without looking bulky.
The Pants
These pants are pretty cool and affordable. They have tons of colors in them which makes them versatile for styling with other color tops, however the overall tone is muted so they’re not very flashy. You can wear pant slips underneath like this one, or this one although these pants appear to be opaque and hold their structure well on their own. Pairing these pants with the simple monotone sweater creates a contrast and allows the pants to shine.
The Coat
I chose a green coat to match with some of the stripes on the pants, and to complement the overall orangeness of the outfit as green goes well with those colors. This is a light rain proof jacket and windbreaker, and the hood has a nifty feature where you can stow it away inside the collar, making it a perfect jacket for going out walking on a cloudy might rain day.
The Shoes
I actually created this outfit starting with the shoes! I really like low cut boots because I find normal boots to be quite annoying with long pants especially since I don’t like to tuck in my pants into the boots. The chocolate suede leather is an interesting shade of brown that I don’t normally see. They’re also super comfortable with a chunky sole, making them perfect for a walking excursion.
The Hijab
I chose a dark brown chiffon hijab to match with the shoes and because the chiffon material dries easily in case of rain. I would wear the hijab tucked into the turtleneck.
The Accessories
For accessories I went with a brown leather backpack to match with the shoes and the aesthetic of the outfit. It’s functional, with enough space for your essentials and a book or two! Perhaps you could go walking and read a book in the park!
For the final accessory I went with a chenille scarf which has a bit more of a baby blanket texture than your average knit scarf. I think this texture is more appropriate for the outfit as it fits the rustic vibe! And if it’s too warm to wear a scarf you can just roll it up and stow it away in your handy backpack!
