Every modest wardrobe should have at least one pair of opaque socks! Here’s why:

You can finally wear open shoes!

I always struggled with wearing sandals or shoes that have openings in them. It always feels awkward to have my feet out in the open but normal socks just look funny, even if they match color wise. That’s why I like these socks- they’re dressy and thin, but not transparent! It also looks more put together, especially if you are attending an event where you have to take your shoes off.

Works for all seasons!

In the warmer months, they’re lightweight enough to wear with sandals or flats. In the colder months they’re perfect to wear with boots because of their length. It’s also easy to layer these socks over tights to keep the polished look and have extra toasty feet.

Protection against the wind!

Imagine you’re just minding your own business walking down the road and then WOOSH, a gust of wind appears and your legs are exposed to the public. Or you go out in a nice outfit, only to realize upon sitting down that your pants/skirt is shorter than you anticipated and your skin is showing. I know we’ve all experienced this at least once in our lives!

There are lots of ways to tackle this problem, and my personal favorite is wearing knee high socks. Tights and leggings can be too much to wear under an outfit- too warm for the summer, and occasionally too warm even in the winter. Plus sometimes you’re bloated and having something tight around your stomach is just not comfortable. These are long enough that even if they slide down a bit they’ll still offer ample coverage!

The length and style of sock I wear varies depending on the outfit, but I think these socks are perfect for basically all skirt outfits, and any outfit that has open shoes or heels.
