This cozy orange fall outfit is casual and comfy! It’s a change of pace from the classic beige and brown fall colors- a little more on the bold side, perfect for a day out with friends!
Table of Contents
The Pants
These pants caught my eye first actually! They’re wide leg high-waisted room trousers. I like the orange color because it’s a dim orange and not really bright. Bright orange is a bit difficult to manage because you could easily turn into traffic cone if you’re not careful with the styling.
The Shirt
This shirt is a classic layering essential. I’m usually always either wearing a button up collared shirt or a mock-neck underneath the topmost layer since it’s an easy way to cover your neck without compromising on style. For this outfit I would go with the tall sizing so that it hangs longer than a normal shirt, covering the hip area.
The Sweater
I was initially looking for a pink sweater because I thought it would look good and then I came across this sweater. I really like the way it fits on the bottom- it doesn’t have a tight hem, it just ends. This is a lot easier to deal with than hemmed sweaters because it doesn’t end up fitting snugly. Since I wanted the shirt to stick out from underneath, I was looking for something that was straight all the way down. This way there’s no weird bunch ups or fit issues- it’ll look like the shirt is part of the sweater!
Besides the fit, I like the pattern of the sweater and adds a bit of color to contrast with the stark orange and white of the rest of the outfit.
The Shoes
These sneakers are perfect for this outfit! It’s the perfect type of shoe to accentuate the cozy casual vibe I’m going for. It has hints of orange but is mostly pink, and both tones are muted. It matches quietly with the rest of the look, which is good since we already have a lot going on with the orange pants and sweater.
The Hijab
Speaking of quietly matching, the muted blush pink tone of the hijab adds another “silent” layer to the outfit. It accentuates the pink stripes in the sweater and shoes and lessens the orangeness of the outfit. I opted for jersey material for extra warmth and to match the weight of the sweater. I would style the hijab with one end over the shoulder and the other end draped down the front of the sweater- this will also make the outfit appear to have more pink in it!
The Accessories
A large bag is a must for a cozy outfit! I picked an orange bag to match the outfit but pink would go just as well. You can wear this as a crossbody or over the shoulder.
