This outfit took me way too long to come up with. I really wanted to use the purple shirt and it took so much effort to find something that matched it! I think it turned out cute though! Let me know what you think about this outfit in the comments below!

The Shirt

I really like the mock neck on this shirt because it’s seamless so it looks more elegant. It’s also not that high which is more comfortable around the neck especially with a hijab. The color of this shirt is really unique which does make it a bit difficult to style, as I discovered today. It’s a really elegant plum color though that would pair well with any mustard yellow items you own! Plus this shirt is really affordable, I think it’s on sale for ten dollars right now!

The Pants

These corduroy pants in light brown are really nice and baggy. I found them on Etsy and there were a lot of good reviews about the seller! I like the fit of the pants especially because I was looking for something that was pretty baggy around the hip area since the jacket is on the shorter side. These fit the criteria perfectly!

I also like the corduroy material since it’s warmer in the winter and a bit more stiff so it won’t stick to your legs.

The Jacket

I picked this coat because the purple collar and front pockets went really well with the purple shirt underneath. I like that it’s a colorblock jacket so it makes the outfit look more visually interesting. All the colors on this jacket are a bit more muted which, with the other brown tones in the look, reminded me of the woods a bit!

The Shoes

What I really like about these shoes is the ribbon lacing. It adds a cool artistic touch to the outfit! (Of course you could always take out the laces on your shoes and replace them with a ribbon for a more cost effective approach). I initially disliked the dark brown as the shoe color but it grew on me once I added the darker colored bag. If the shoes matched one of the colors on the jacket I felt like it would be too cliche.

The Hijab

The dark red chiffon hijab pairs well with the plum colors in the jacket and the shirt. I also felt that picking a color for the hijab that matched the jacket colors or the pant colors would feel a little too calculated. I think the dark red adds a nice artistic expression to the look.

The Accessories

For accessories I went with a dark red purse to match the dark red hijab. The style of this purse adds an additional element of intrigue to the outfit! It’s more elegant looking but the size of it makes it the perfect vibe match for the look!
