I used to hate wearing t-shirts under my clothes as a kid, now I find them absolutely necessary. Here’s why!

If you sweat, don’t fret!

I remember I used to have a black undershirt that was my favorite one in terms of style and coverage but whenever I wore it I would smell awful after a couple of hours, regardless of how clean I was. I discovered recently that it was because of the material of the undershirt: it was made out of polyester or some equivalent. I will make a blog post about this soon but the gist of it is that polyester smells bad if you sweat at all, so instead you should wear natural fibers like cotton which has high odor prevention.

Wearing a cotton t-shirt underneath your clothing can help prevent sweat and odor issues since it absorbs sweat properly. It’s versatile both in the summer and the winter since cotton is a breathable fabric so it will help you stay cool in the summer, and in the winter it’s a good extra layer (and helps when you overdress and start sweating because it’s too hot but you can’t take off your layers)

Comfortable and modest!

I don’t like wearing undershirts that are too loose or too form-fitting, it just makes me so uncomfortable. This particular t-shirt is nice because it’s not either! It’s also helpful when you’re wearing something over top it that is a bit transparent from the front or has buttons (sometimes you can see through the gaps in the buttons on a shirt).
