I found this gorgeous maxi brown skirt and I had to style it!!! I find wearing a skirt in the winter to be a bit annoying sometimes so I tried to style this with as minimal layering effort as possible- just throw the clothes on and you’re good to go! Let me know what you think about this outfit in the comments below!

The Mock Neck Tank Top

The mock neck tank top is an essential item that I always recommend having in your closet. I like to wear them under cardigans when I don’t want to wear a button up shirt or deal with my neck showing in regular t-shirts. With the mock neck tank top, you won’t overheat or get overstimulated by a long sleeve layer underneath another long sleeve item of clothing, especially in this outfit wear you’re already wearing a thick jacket on top.

The Sweater

This is an oversized cream sweater with a nice texture that complements the smoothness of the skirt. I like that it has small slits in the side which help the sweater not stick to your hips. It also has a long hem that falls just below the hip line for extra modesty. The neck is also small so you could even forego the mock neck tank top or wear something more wide necked underneath if it makes you uncomfortable!

The Skirt

Guys!!! An actually affordable long maxi skirt with no slits that looks nice!!! Aaaaah!!! I love this skirt so much, I’m a huge fan of brown and blue color combinations. It also has a nice intricate peacock pattern! It’s also NOT satin even though it looks like it (satin skirts are virtually impossible to style modestly- they just want to stick!), and it’s stretchy material. There’s also a blue version of the skirt although I prefer the brown personally.

The Coat

This is a thick open faux cashmere coat. I thought an open coat would be better suited for this outfit, first to show off the cream layer on the inside, and second to avoid a bulkier look. I like the flare of the coat and also the way that it folds over in the chest area which is actually perfect for added coverage!

The Boots

I was going back and forth between a bunch of options. I thought about heels but I honestly don’t really like heels with skirts since it’s a bit of a hassle and plus it’s the winter, it’s cold, so I decided to find some boots instead. Initially I had these blue cowboy boots in mind which kind of matched but I wasn’t too sure about them. I ended up going with these cream chelsea boots instead! Which do you guys prefer?

The Hijab

I picked a dark blue hijab to match with the blue detailing on the skirt and contrast with the brown- did I mention already how much I like brown and blue color combos? The jersey material of the hijab matches the fabric of the skirt as well.

The Accessories

For accessories I went with a large cream shoulder bag to match with the sweater and the cream in the skirt. It’s also made from fake leather so the texture matches with the trench coat with the added bonus of it being waterproof as well. It has a zipper which ensures that you won’t get water on your belongings! Also look at how big it is, you could fit anything you want in there and still have space for more!
