I just remembered that valentine’s day is this week :0 anyways I was wearing basically the same outfit today and thought it would make a good valentine’s day look! Let me know what you think in the comments below!
Table of Contents
The Mock Neck Tank Top
The sweater I chose has a v neck both in the front and the back so the mock neck tank top underneath is a must! I prefer the ribbed tank top to give a more classy effect- you could also wear a button down underneath but I feel like that is too many layers!
The Sweater
The sleeves on this sweater are so epic! I really like the dark red color which matches the valentine’s day vibe, without being too red and flashy. This is a perfect top to wear with skirts since it’s easy to leave it untucked without it looking bulky around the waist and hip area, and just as easily tucks in.
The Skirt
This skirt is dark brown which is one of the rare colors that pairs well with red. It does have a slit down the front and since it’s made out of jeans material I would not recommend sewing it. You can either wear really long boots underneath or you could wear an underskirt underneath. I personally would go for a pleated dark red skirt to match with the sweater and give a cool texture and flash of color when you’re walking. If that ends up looking too bulky or uncomfortable you can go for a basic cotton underskirt in black or dark brown.

The Coat
For the coat I wanted to throw in a fun pattern element like this leapord print. This is a faux fur coat which adds a nice textural balance with the jeans skirt. I went with a shorter coat as well due to the pattern since I didn’t want it to overwhelm the outfit.
The Shoes
I wanted to balance the white from the mock neck tank top with the shoes and remembered this pair with the dark red swoosh which fits perfectly with the look. These shoes are more on the casual side which I think works super well for that effortless classy vibe.
The Hijab
For the hijab I went with a chiffon dark brown hijab to match the skirt. I would wear this with one end over the shoulder and the other end hanging loose down the front to break the brown red brown stripe effect.
The Accessories
For accessories I went with a dark red purse to match the red dress. I also went with white peach sunglasses to add more light colors to the look. I don’t normally add jewelry to an outfit since I prefer to leave it up to your preference, but I had to find gold jewelry for this one. Gold, red, and brown is a perfect color combination, and silver wouldn’t do the look justice. So I picked a thick gold bangle (which is currently on sale!!!) and fun chunky gold earrings that complement the outfit perfectly!
